deugro and Natco make project cargo appointments

BREMEN/ZURICH: Industrial projects specialist deugro has appointed Christian Arndt as senior vice president – Oil & Gas Logistics, responsible for the global development of the company’s oil and gas supply chain business unit.

Arndt was formerly senior vice president Sales Projects – Oil & Gas – Marine Logistics at Kuehne + Nagel. He has spent nearly 18 years working in the oil and gas industry in Africa for ExxonMobil and Tullow Oil, as well as in senior management positions for Geodis and Bertling.

“We are very pleased that Christian is joining deugro with the objective to develop and manage the oil and gas supply chain business unit. This will allow us to provide an even larger range of services to our valuable clients,” said Klaus Strahmann, deugro group senior executive vice president.

deugro was founded in 1924 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and is a third generation family-owned logistics business. Today deugro is an independent company of the deugro group that focuses on project freight forwarding, ocean transportation of heavy lift and project cargo, transport and marine engineering as well as specialized transportation assets.

Natco, part of the Trans Global Projects Group (TGP) since 2015, has appointed Luca Kopp its Projects director based at the company’s headquarters in Ruemlang near Zurich.

A Swiss national, Kopp was a Board member of Basel-based project specialist General Transport and previously worked for DHL in the USA and Switzerland.

According to Natco CEO Joerg Roehl, Lukas will contribute to the further alignment of Natco AG projects within the global TGP Group: “This is especially true in light of the recent integration of Natco AG subsidiaries, Natco GmbH and NPT Brasil, ” he explained. “With his expertise and experience in industrial projects management – both at the Swiss regional and the global level – we are confident that Lukas will bring the right mix of innovative project management as well as solid industry know-how to further grow our business.”
