HAMBURG: dship Carriers is to take delivery of two 12,500 dwt. F-500 Eco Trader newbuilds in January and March 2019. Each has two 250-ton Liebherr cranes capable of delivering 500-ton capacity in tandem operation.
Two more vessels will be delivered during the latter half of 2019 from the Taizhou Sanfu Shipyard in China.
“We are very much looking forward to the delivery of all four F-500s, which will help us to reach our goals in regards to a stable market presence,” said Lars Feller, global vice president of dship Carriers.
The F-500 vessel type belongs to the new generation of economic multi-purpose vessels, which have been specially developed to reduce fuel consumption and to increase stowage flexibility.
