HOLZWICKEDE, Germany: Swiss project logistics specialist KOG Worldwide, part of the Rhenus Group, has opened an office in Chicago in addition to existing offices in New York and Houston.
“The business potential in the United States is enormous. The USA is one of the largest economies in the world and many of our customers are already operating here,” said Tobias König, managing director of KOG Worldwide. “As a company with global operations, it’s essential for us to have a strong network in the USA too. We’ve taken a further step with Chicago and we’ll continue to expand our network in the next few years.”
Colin D’Abreo, U.S. president of KOG Transport added: “There is great economic potential here in Chicago. About 9.6 million people live in the metropolitan area. At our new operations base, we will provide services in project logistics, break bulk cargo and overland, air and sea transport.”
The major focus at KOG, which was combined with Rhenus Project Logistics in 2015, is the planning and implementation of individual project and heavy-duty movements to the U.S., Europe and Asia via 21 subsidiaries in 18 countries.
