TORONTO: October 16, 2018. Exhibiting at The International Air Cargo Association’s Air Cargo Forum this week, Silk Way West Airlines has announced the introduction of a twice-weekly service to Tianjin via its hub in Baku, Azerbaijan.
“With this service we will close the strategic gap in offering freighter services to booming Northern China,” said SWW president Wolfgang Meier.
Operating every Friday and Sunday with B747 freighter capacity, Meier said the link with Tianjin was in response to strong demand both eastbound and westbound from automotive and aerospace manufacturers.
“Throughout the whole planning process there was a great cooperation with representatives of Tianjin Airport in order to set up the new flight for us for which we are thankful,” he added.
