Tradelossa adds second massive girder bridge

MEMMINGEN, Germany: Heavy-haul and abnormal load transport company Tradelossa, headquartered in Durango, Mexico, is celebrating its 45th anniversary by taking delivery this month of a Goldhofer ‘Faktor 5’ high girder bridge with a maximum payload of 500 tons.

The company offers all-in-one solutions for national and international logistics operations in North and South America. “As a leader in the heavy haul industry in Mexico, Tradelossa is committed to continuously invest in world class equipment to serve its customers and meet their requirements to the full,” explains Rafael De los Santos, managing director at Tradelossa.

In addition to an existing fleet of over 150 Goldhofer axle lines, the company has a range of special equipment including an older high girder bridge from the German company.

With a variable length and width, the new addition will handle loads from three to 6.75 metres wide and 11 to 17 metres long. Tradelossa says it has acquired the new bridge to cope with increasing customer demand while avoiding bottlenecks by operating both simultaneously.

De los Santos adds, “The heavy haul industry is an industry that requires a slim, flexible and creative management. To assume that business ‘as usual’ will keep you busy is a mistake and not the pace at which our industry is changing. To evolve, invest wisely, and push yourself is the only way to guarantee you will remain in this business in the near future.”
